Manchester United may reportedly allow Jadon Sancho to depart the club on loan during the January transfer window.
When United won the race to sign Sancho in 2021, it was viewed as a significant deal for the club, the winger costing in the region of €85m.
However, Sancho has not come close to replicating the form that he regularly produced at Borussia Dortmund, making him one of the most highly-regarded prospects in the world.
In his first campaign at Old Trafford, the England international contributed just five goals and three assists from 38 outings in all competitions.
Given the change of managers mid-season, it was hoped that the 22-year-old would settle under Erik ten Hag, who arrived at Old Trafford earlier this year.

Nevertheless, Sancho has failed to produce overly impressive numbers, despite making 10 starts in the Premier League in what has been a show of faith by his new boss.
Two goals and one assist have been posted in 723 minutes of top-flight football, and it appears that the return may lead to a temporary exit away from the club.
According to TEAMtalk, Sancho could be allowed to join a new club in a bid to regain some confidence.
Although United are already one player short in the final third due to the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, it is claimed that the feeling is that Sancho may benefit from some time away from the Theatre of Dreams.

Reporter Graeme Bailey, who was speaking to the outlet, suggests that the potential arrival of Cody Gakpo could impact on United's decision-making when it comes to Sancho.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with another approach for the Netherlands international, who has just starred for Oranje during their World Cup campaign.
Gakpo has previously acknowledged that he would be open to moving to United, while PSV Eindhoven director of football Marcel Brands has revealed that a sale of their most prized asset at the turn of the year is possible.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag also also confirmed that he is in the market for a new forward in a bid to replace Ronaldo.
