Manchester United take 16-year-old striker on trial?

Livingston's 16-year-old centre-forward Matthew Knox reportedly starts a week-long trial period with Manchester United.

Manchester United have reportedly handed a trial to Livingston's 16-year-old striker Matthew Knox.

The youngster only made his senior debut on Boxing Day, but he is believed to have captured the attention of a number of English clubs.

One of those is United, who will take a closer look at Knox's credentials over the next week, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The report adds that Knox has already spent time with Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
