Scottish Championship roundup: Hibs level on points with Rangers after Alloa win

Sports Mole rounds up all of Saturday's action in the Scottish Championship.

Hibernian have moved level on points with Rangers following a 1-0 victory away to Alloa Athletic, in which Jason Cummings scored his eighth goal in nine matches.

John McGinn's chipped pass set Cummings through on goal, the striker making no mistake to hand Hibs the lead and ultimately all three points.

Cummings' goal, his 10th of the league campaign, gave Alan Stubbs' team their eighth straight league win to put them level on points with Rangers who drew 1-1 away to Livingston.

James Craigen opened the scoring for Raith Rovers after just three minutes to give his side an early away lead against Dumbarton.

Mark Stewart doubled Rovers' lead immediately before half time as Ray McKinnon's side took a two-goal advantage into the break.

Scott Robertson's 56th-minute strike made it 3-0 to Rovers, the game looking all but over.

However, Steven Saunders netted a quickfire double for Dumbarton with ten minutes left in the fixture to give Stevie Aitken's team a glimmer of hope.

Rovers then conceded an 87th-minute penalty which Gary Fleming duly dispatched to complete the comeback.

A deflected Willie Gibson cross in the dying seconds struck the inside of Raith's post as Dumbarton almost snatched all three points.

Falkirk took the lead against Queen of the South as Will Vaulks got on the end of a corner to head the Bairns in front.

Queens were awarded a 35th-minute penalty after David McCraken bundled over Derek Lyle.

Lyle dusted himself off, stepped up and fired home from the spot to level the scores while recording his sixth of the league season.

Falkirk took the lead once more in the 83rd minute through Lee Miller before Iain Russell slotted past Bairns keeper Danny Rogers to ensure that the fixture ended level.

Results in full (half-time scores in brackets): Alloa Athletic 0-1 Hibernian (0-0), Dumbarton 3-3 Raith Rovers (0-2), Livingston 1-1 Rangers (0-1), Queen of the South 2-2 Falkirk (1-1)
