A report in Spain has claimed that Manchester United will make a second move to sign Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao in the summer.
There was strong speculation in August 2013 during David Moyes's tenure that the Red Devils were keen to recruit the 27-year-old on loan, but the deal could not be concluded before the deadline passed.
Coentrao has since signed a contract extension at the Bernabeu, but he is often overlooked by head coach Carlo Ancelotti in favour of Marcelo.
That has captured the attention of United boss Louis van Gaal, who is eager to bolster his defensive options during the pre-season break, according to AS.
United spent £30m on young left-back Luke Shaw last June, but the 19-year-old has been hampered by a series of injuries this term.
