Manchester United have reportedly again made it clear to Mason Greenwood that he will not be representing the club again amid suggestions that there could be a route back into the first-team picture at Old Trafford.
In August, the Red Devils revealed that a decision had been made for him to continue his career away from the club following an investigation into the incidents that led to his arrest in early 2022.
Following accusations from a woman, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, and he was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
The 22-year-old was also facing charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but the CPS revealed earlier this year that all charges had been dropped.
Man United are believed to have been planning to bring him back into the squad this summer before reversing their decision due to the public backlash.

Greenwood was ultimately sent on loan to Getafe on September 1, and he has scored once and provided one assist in five appearances for the La Liga outfit this season.
The forward still has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2025, though, and journalist Jamie Jackson recently suggested that there is a chance he could represent Man United again.
In part of their statement in August, the Red Devils said: "Based on the evidence available to us, we have concluded that the material posted online did not provide a full picture and that Mason did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged.
"That said, as Mason publicly acknowledges today, he has made mistakes which he is taking responsibility for."

Jackson, speaking on the Stretford Paddock podcast, claimed that Man United believe Greenwood is 'the best player at the club' and suggested that a return at some stage was possible.
However, according to The Express, the 20-time English champions have told the forward that there is no way back for him at Old Trafford regardless of what happens this season.
The report claims that the Man United hierarchy, in private discussions, have informed the player that they are working to secure a permanent switch next summer.
Greenwood is believed to be open to making the move to Getafe on a long-term basis, but there have also been claims that Sevilla are in the mix for his signature.
The forward has scored 35 goals and registered 12 assists in 129 matches for Man United, and he was viewed as one of the best young talents in world football before his arrest.
