Manchester United have reportedly downplayed their interest in Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina.
The 25-year-old confirmed in an interview with France Football on Wednesday that he is looking to leave St Mary's Stadium this summer.
Lemina also stated his desire to remain in the Premier League, with United the rumoured frontrunners to land his signature.
According to the Manchester Evening News, however, the Red Devils believe the speculation is being used in an attempt to whip up an auction for the Gabon international.
Everton and Arsenal are the other two rumoured names in the frame to sign former Juventus ace Lemina, who is valued at £30m after two years in the top flight of English football.
