Fenerbahce are reportedly currently leading the race to sign Sofyan Amrabat, with Manchester United in danger of missing out on a deal for the Morocco international.
Amrabat spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Man United from Fiorentina, making 30 appearances for the Red Devils, including 21 outings in the Premier League.
The 20-time English champions had the chance to sign Amrabat on a permanent basis earlier this summer for €20m (£16.9m) but decided against activating the clause.
Man United are still said to be interested in bringing the 27-year-old back to Old Trafford, though, with negotiations ongoing with Fiorentina over a new price.
However, according to journalist Ekrem Konur, Fenerbahce, who recently appointed Jose Mourinho as their new head coach, are currently leading the race for Amrabat.

Fenerbahce 'ahead' of Man United in Amrabat race
The Turkish giants have allegedly placed an offer of €10m (£8.6m) on the table for Amrabat, but Fiorentina are holding out for a fee in the region of €15m (£12.8m).
Galatasaray are also said to be keeping a close eye on the situation, with Man United stalling on a move as they look at other options in the market.
Amrabat found it difficult to show his best form for the Red Devils during stages of the 2023-24 campaign, but he was a regular in the latter stages of the season and was picked ahead of Casemiro to start the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
The Moroccan also featured in Man United's final six matches of the Premier League season, and his priority is thought to be to secure a return to Old Trafford.

Amrabat has said that "staying is certainly an option"
"Do I already know what I'm going to do next year? No. We are going to talk. Staying is certainly an option," the midfielder told Ziggo Sport after the FA Cup final.
"Look, I think it has been a very difficult season. For Manchester United it needs to be much better, and also for me personally."
Man United have cooled their interest in Paris Saint-Germain's Manuel Ugarte, with Burnley's Sander Berge now allegedly viewed as the club's leading midfield target.
A move for Amrabat could hinge on the futures of Scott McTominay and Casemiro, as both continue to be linked with moves away from Old Trafford.
However, Man United, if they decide to wait until the latter stages of the transfer window, face the prospect of missing out on a deal for a player who could be a valuable squad option during the 2024-25 campaign.
