Sporting Lisbon have reportedly rejected Manchester United's latest offer for Bruno Fernandes.
United are just one of a number of teams who have been linked with the midfielder after the playmaker contributed 28 goals in all competitions last season.
However, United are said to hold a stronger interest than the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, which has seemingly led to a formal approach being made for the 24-year-old.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a bid of £35m has been made for the Portugal international, although Sporting gave little consideration to the offer.
The report adds that Fernandes is valued at above £60m, which may rule out United at this time due to the big-money addition of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
United could potentially look to cash in on Paul Pogba in order to complete the transfer of Fernandes later in the summer window.
