Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has emerged as a reported transfer target of Manchester United, should the English champions lose the services of David de Gea.
It is believed that 22-year-old De Gea is among the leading contenders to replace Victor Valdes, who recently stated that he had no intention of extending his contract at the Camp Nou.
The Red Devils are keen to keep hold of the emerging Spaniard, but have lined up Casillas as a potential replacement in case De Gea demands a move back to his homeland, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
Casillas is thought to be eager to move on following 14 years at the Bernabeu, having seemingly fallen behind Diego Lopez in the pecking order.
United may face competition from Arsenal and Chelsea for his signature, but the report adds that the 32-year-old would favour a switch to Old Trafford.
