Manchester United begin James Rodriguez talks?

A report claims that talks are underway for Manchester United to sign Real Madrid's Colombian attacker James Rodriguez.

Manchester United have reportedly started transfer negotiations with Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez.

Recent speculation claimed that the Red Devils had been keeping tabs on the Colombia international, who is said to have grown frustrated with life at the Bernabeu.

Further reports have suggested that new Real head coach Zinedine Zidane is open to the prospect of selling the 24-year-old, having been disappointed with his attitude in training since he took charge earlier this month.

As a result, Rodriguez's agent Jorge Mendes has already touted his client to a number of clubs, one of which is United, according to The Express.

The report adds that the Premier League side may hold the advantage in the race for the player's signature due to the fact that they have a good working relationship with Mendes.

Rodriguez, who joined Madrid for £63m from Monaco in 2014, has scored four goals from his 15 appearances for club and country this season.
