Ainsley Maitland-Niles is preparing to leave Arsenal permanently this summer, according to a report.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is reportedly preparing to leave Arsenal on a permanent basis this summer.

The 23-year-old has made 121 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions since debuting in 2014, including 21 outings in the first half of the 2020-21 campaign.

The England international was allowed to join West Bromwich Albion on loan in January, though, and he has been a key player for the Baggies since his arrival.

Maitland-Niles is due to return to the Emirates Stadium this summer, and the versatile midfielder still has more than two years left to run on his current deal.

However, according to The Telegraph, the Englishman is likely to leave Mikel Arteta's side on a permanent basis ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Maitland-Niles has played in midfield for West Brom, but the report claims that potential suitors in the Premier League view him as a right-back.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City and Southampton are all said to be keeping an eye on developments, while Manchester United could also potentially register an interest.
