Liverpool would reportedly only be able to compete for Jadon Sancho's signature this summer if Mohamed Salah leaves Anfield.

Liverpool would reportedly only be able to compete for Jadon Sancho's signature during this summer's transfer window if Mohamed Salah leaves Anfield.

Sancho will allegedly be available for around £80m in the upcoming market, and Jurgen Klopp's side are believed to be considering battling the likes of Manchester United for the Borussia Dortmund attacker.

However, according to German journalist Raphael Honigstein, the reigning Premier League champions could only afford to sign the England international if Salah moves on.

"I cannot imagine Liverpool, especially since the money for a Sancho transfer is simply not there. A new dynamic could only come into the matter if Mo Salah leaves." Honigstein told Sport1.

Salah's future at Anfield is currently being called into question, with the Egypt international recently revealing that the Merseyside giants are yet to approach him over a new deal.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding the Liverpool attacker as they make contingency plans should Kylian Mbappe depart.
