Jesse Lingard is reportedly scheduled to meet with Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick on Monday to discuss a transfer away from Old Trafford.
The pair have previously held discussions over Lingard's future, the earlier decision seemingly being to give the green light for a departure.
However, a proposed move to Newcastle United broke down due to United's demands, while the shock allegations regarding Mason Greenwood has now further complicated matters both on and off the pitch.
According to The Athletic, the England international still wants to move to a new club, preferably the Magpies, before the transfer deadline on Monday.
As it stands, United are allegedly demanding that Newcastle pay a £12m fee if they avoid relegation, terms which immediately brought a halt to negotiations.
While Lingard is said to respect United's right to request a fee, it is said to have not stopped him craving a move to St James' Park, joining several other high-profile names in signing for the ambitious North-East club.
