Barcelona president Joan Laporta has claimed that an English club is still in for Blaugrana winger Ousmane Dembele.
With the Frenchman's contract expiring in Catalonia in the summer and renewal talks breaking down, Barca were said to have informed Dembele to depart in the January transfer window, with various European giants linked with his signature as a result.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Laporta claims the 24-year-old has an offer tabled by a Premier League club, saying: "Ousmane Dembele? Various solutions have been proposed, the last one depends on whether the player accepts it, it is to go to an English club."
Alongside the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, Chelsea have been linked with Dembele in January, with Blues boss Thomas Tuchel reportedly keen to reunite with the winger that he managed at Borussia Dortmund and Barca set to accept a cut-price offer.
In a spell blighted by various injury issues, the Frenchman has turned out 129 times for Barcelona, netting 31 goals and providing 23 assists since his 2017 arrival, while he has managed just 11 appearances so far this season, scoring a single goal.
