Juventus are allegedly working to sign Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United during the January transfer window.

Juventus are reportedly currently leading the race to sign Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho.

The England international is set to leave Old Trafford during the January transfer window due to his falling-out with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag, which stemmed from the attacker being left out against Arsenal at the start of September.

Ten Hag said that Sancho had not been selected for the fixture at the Emirates Stadium due to poor performances in training, but the forward insisted that was not the case, claiming that he had been made "a scapegoat" in a post on social media.

Sancho has allegedly refused to apologise to his manager, and the ex-Manchester City youngster has since been removed from the first-team picture entirely.

The 23-year-old is set to move on in January, with a number of clubs said to be closely monitoring his situation, but Juventus are believed to be at the head of the queue.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, the Italian giants want to sign Sancho on loan in the winter window, with the club currently showing 'the most concrete interest'.

However, Galetti claims that Man United want Juventus to agree to a mandatory purchase, and it is unclear at this stage whether the Old Lady will accept those terms.

The English club's plans for the January market are believed to hinge on a departure for Sancho, who is said to be on £250,000 a week at Old Trafford.

Man United are thought to value the Englishman in the region of £50m, and he has also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, but a transfer away from Europe allegedly does not interest him at this moment in time.

Barcelona have also been credited with an interest, but the Catalan outfit are expected to focus their attention on signing a midfielder on loan in January due to news of Gavi's ACL injury.

Sancho made the move to Man United in 2021 off the back of scoring 50 goals and registering 64 assists in 137 appearances for Borussia Dortmund in all competitions.

However, the forward has only contributed 12 goals and six assists in 82 matches for his current side, largely struggling to show his best form for the Red Devils.

Sancho was absent for a period towards the end of last year due to a personal issue, but he was a regular in the second half of last season and had been expected to play an important role for Ten Hag this term.

The forward featured off the bench in his side's first three games of the 2023-24 Premier League campaign but has not been in a matchday squad since.
