Inter Milan have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign AC Milan attacker Hakan Calhanoglu.
The 26-year-old has been in impressive form for his Italian club during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring four times and providing four assists in 10 appearances in all competitions.
Calhanoglu's contract at San Siro is due to expire next summer, though, and a recent report claimed that United were keen to bring him to Old Trafford on a free transfer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are allegedly willing to offer the versatile attacker a five-year contract to turn down the chance to pen a new deal with Milan and make the move to England.
However, according to La Repubblica, United are not the only club pursuing the Turkey international, with Inter also now expressing an interest ahead of the January transfer window.
Calhanoglu has scored 27 times and registered 40 assists in 139 appearances for I Rossoneri since joining the club from Bayer Leverkusen in July 2017.
