Dean Henderson is reportedly confident of being Manchester United's number one goalkeeper next term.
The 23-year-old has made 14 appearances for the Red Devils during the 2020-21 campaign but is still behind David de Gea in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
De Gea's future at Old Trafford is far from secure, though, and the former Atletico Madrid youngster has travelled back to Spain to support his partner following the birth of their first child.
As a result, Henderson will start Sunday's Premier League clash against Manchester City and is expected to be handed a run in the side, with De Gea unlikely to return before the end of the month.
According to The Sun, the England international is expecting to be Man United's first-choice stopper next season, having impressed during his outings this term.
Henderson kept a clean sheet in Wednesday's goalless draw with Crystal Palace, while he also produced two shutouts against Real Sociedad in the Europa League last month.
