Ferguson 'close' to £20 million deal for Villa's Ashley Young

Man United are said to be close to a deal for Villa winger Ashley Young.

Man United are said to be close to signing a four-year deal to bring Ashley Young to Old Trafford.

The transfer for the Villa winger is said to be worth £20 million and will be finalised in the next 48 hours, according to the Mail Online.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson apparently sees Young "as a successor on the wing to Ryan Giggs", who is likely entering his final season with the team.

The arrival of Young also lends credence to speculation that Nani will be signed by Juventus this summer.
