Exiting Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he is "no longer interested" in the issue surrounding Wayne Rooney's future at Old Trafford.
Rooney, 27, has made a second transfer request in three years but, as before, it was rejected by the club.
When confirming the request denial, Ferguson advised England striker Rooney to get away during the summer and think again about his decision.
However, Ferguson, who announced his retirement after 26 years at the club last week, said that it's no longer his problem and must be dealt with his replacement David Moyes.
"I'm no longer interested in that," said the Scot.
"Quite rightly, David is going to deal with it. I am happy with that."
United travel to West Brom for Ferguson's 1,500th and final game in charge tomorrow.
