Everton are reportedly pondering a move for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck before the transfer window closes in a week's time.
Manager Roberto Martinez is said to be keen to add another striker to his squad following the acquisition of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for £28m.
According to The Telegraph, Welbeck is being considered as an option for the Merseyside outfit, as well as Samuel Eto'o, who was linked with a switch to Everton's rivals Liverpool.
Welbeck has been linked with numerous Premier League clubs, including Hull City, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur, after reports emerged claiming that United manager Louis van Gaal has told the striker that he can leave the club.
The England international came on as a substitute in United's 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light yesterday.
