Angel di Maria 'must hand in official transfer request to leave Manchester United'

Angel di Maria will not be allowed to leave Manchester United unless he hands in an official transfer request, according to reports.

The Argentine has been strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and is reportedly unsettled at Old Trafford.

The Daily Mail claims that Louis van Gaal still sees Di Maria as a key part of the United squad though, and is hoping that the 27-year-old decides to stay in Manchester.

Di Maria signed for United last summer for a fee of £59m, but struggled to make an impression.
