Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly set to miss out on the chance to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma as the goalkeeper plans to remain at AC Milan.
The Premier League pair have both been tipped to move for the Italy international, who has already made close to 250 appearances for Milan despite only recently turning 22.
Donnarumma is due to become a free agent at the end of the campaign, but talkSPORT claims that the youngster has been persuaded to put pen to paper on fresh terms.
It is suggested that Donnarumma will earn up to £6m annually when he formally signs the new long-term deal.
That would also be a major blow for Serie A rivals Juventus, having themselves been touted as a possible destination for the Naples-born stopper.
Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is also out of contract in the next two months, though Milan did manage to tie veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a 12-month extension last week.
