Manchester United full-back Alexander Buttner could join Scottish champions Celtic on loan, according to his agent.
The 24-year-old's representative, Aleksandar Bursac, told BBC Scotland that a deal is dependent on whether manager David Moyes is able secure the services of Everton's Leighton Baines, and that the Hoops face competition for the player from Turkish giants Besiktas.
He said: "Talks are ongoing and we hope that something will happen. We hope that United recognise that letting him go on loan would be great for his development."
Buttner joined United from Vitesse Arnhem last summer and has made 13 appearances for the club.
