Edinson Cavani 'completes Atletico Madrid medical'

Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani allegedly completes a medical with Atletico Madrid ahead of a potential transfer this month.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has allegedly completed a medical with Atletico Madrid.

With less than six months remaining on his contract, Cavani is allowed to hold discussions with foreign clubs regarding a transfer later in 2020.

However, despite PSG wishing to keep the Uruguay international until the summer, it has been suggested that the 32-year-old is eager to leave Parc des Princes as soon as possible.

Despite interest from Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea, AS claims that Cavani has come through a medical with Atletico.

Diego Simeone's team have struggled for goals all season, leading to the Spanish giants being willing to pay a fee for the frontman's signature in January rather than waiting to secure his services on a free transfer.
