Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes that Manchester United's reported pursuit of Daley Blind is "strange".
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the Ajax defender, but in a summer that has seen them already sign two left-sided defenders in Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw, Carragher feels that a third is unnecessary.
He told Sky Sports News: "I think it's strange to buy Rojo and Luke Shaw and you're looking for another left-sided defender.
"You need players in your squad, I get that, but it does seem strange to buy that many players in that position."
Argentina defender Rojo signed last week for around £16m.
