Borussia Dortmund midfielder Emre Can has revealed that he gave no thought to joining Manchester United in January.
After a disappointing 18-month spell at Juventus, Can was allowed to return to Germany to link up with Dortmund at the start of 2020.
Before making the switch to the Westfalenstadion, the 26-year-old was also linked with a transfer to United, despite having represented their fierce rivals Liverpool.
However, while acknowledging the interest, Can has insisted that he was never going to move to Old Trafford.
The player told Sky Germany: "I had three offers from the Premier League alone, including from Manchester United , but I didn't think about that for a second because of my Liverpool past."
Between 2014 and 2018, Can made 167 appearances for the Merseyside giants in all competitions.
