Manchester City and Manchester United will be on red alert as Benfica club president Luis Filipe Vieira hints that Nicolas Gaitan could be sold in order to raise funds for the club.
The cash-strapped side may be forced to sell the 23-year-old midfielder, who has been a reported target of Premier League rivals Man City and United.
"The sale of players is the priority for Benfica but only if it is helping the club," said Vieira. "Our aim is to break even and make around €50m in the summer through sales."
The playmaker's agent recently claimed that neither Manchester club has made an approach for Gaitan.
