Barnsley complete loan move for Manchester United duo

Manchester United's Joe Rothwell and Ben Pearson complete loan moves to Barnsley.

League One side Barnsley have completed the loan signing of Manchester United pair Ben Pearson and Joe Rothwell.

Pearson, who spent time on loan with Barnsley last season, and Rothwell, both 20, will be with Lee Johnson's side until January 3, 2016.

"I'm really excited to be here. I've heard a lot about the place from Ben. He couldn't speak highly enough of his time here and I just can't wait to get going," Rothwell told the club's official website

"I had no hesitations about coming here after speaking with Lee. The club almost made the play offs with Ben here last season so, hopefully, we can go one better this time."

Barnsley begin the season with a trip to the Proact Stadium to face Chesterfield on Saturday August 8.
