Barcelona have reportedly opened talks with Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero.
The 32-year-old will leave the Etihad Stadium on a free transfer when his contract expires on June 30.
The Catalan giants have been strongly linked with the Argentina international in recent weeks, with the club thought to be keen to pair him with Lionel Messi during the 2021-22 campaign.
A recent report claimed that Barca boss Ronald Koeman favoured a move for Lyon's Memphis Depay over Aguero, who has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain.
However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the La Liga giants have now opened talks with the South American over the possibility of a switch to Camp Nou.
Aguero is Man City's all-time leading goalscorer, netting 257 times in 384 appearances for the Citizens since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
The forward has struggled with a number of fitness problems during the 2020-21 campaign, though, and has scored just three times in 14 outings this term.
