Atletico Madrid to make Juan Mata move?

Manchester United's Juan Mata could be poised to swap Old Trafford for Atletico Madrid, according to reports.

Reigning La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are lining up a summer move for Manchester United's Spanish midfielder Juan Mata, according to reports.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this season, with Barcelona recently reported to be leading the chase for his signature.

However, Diego Simeone has now identified Mata as a transfer target, and is expected to test United's resolve to keep hold of the player, claims The Sun.

Mata joined the Red Devils from Chelsea in January last year for a fee of £37.1m, but has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular under Louis van Gaal.
