Arsenal are reportedly considering a surprise move for Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood, who has become frustrated with his lack of first-team football.

Arsenal are reportedly one of the clubs considering a surprise move for Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood.

The 20-year-old has made 12 Premier League appearances this season and has been tipped as a future star for the Red Devils, but he has fallen down the pecking order over the past month.

Greenwood has not started a top-flight game since November 6 and has featured for only 51 minutes in the league under interim boss Ralf Rangnick.

Spanish outlet El Nacional claims that the England international is increasingly frustrated by his limited role in the first team, and that he is aggrieved by Cristiano Ronaldo's immediate ascendancy to being the first name on the teamsheet.

Greenwood is reportedly considering his options as a result, with Premier League rivals Arsenal one of the clubs interested in his signature as a possible replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The future of Alexandre Lacazette also remains uncertain, and manager Mikel Arteta is thought to have earmarked Greenwood as a perfect candidate to help build a team for the future alongside the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.

However, the Gunners could face competition from Barcelona and Juventus, both of whom are also keeping tabs on Greenwood's situation at Old Trafford.

Greenwood, who is contracted to Man United until 2025, has scored 34 goals in 122 games for the Red Devils.
