Arsenal have reportedly held positive talks with Brighton & Hove Albion over a deal for defender Ben White.
The former Leeds United loanee played a starring role in the Whites' return to the Premier League during the 2019-20 season, and he started 36 of Brighton's 38 top-flight games last term.
White's performances have led to interest from some of the 'Big Six' sides in England, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal all thought to be weighing up approaches.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners have held positive talks with the Seagulls over a move, but the centre-back's £50m-rated price tag could still prove to be problematic.
A separate report indicated that Arsenal are happy to fork out that sum of money for White, though, and the 23-year-old is said to be keen on a move if Brighton's fee is met.
White linked up with the England squad for Euro 2020 following Trent Alexander-Arnold's withdrawal through injury, and he was an unused substitute in the Three Lions' opening 1-0 win over Croatia at the weekend.
