Agent: 'Manchester United not prepared to sell Matteo Darmian'

Matteo Darmian's agent Tullio Tinti has claimed that Roma have not made an approach for the Manchester United defender.

After spending much of the first half of the season on the sidelines, Darmian has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford during the January window.

Tinti has acknowledged that there has been some interest in the versatile full-back, but United are currently not prepared to contemplate a sale.

"I haven't had any calls from Roma for the player," he told Rete Sport.

"There has been contact with other Serie A teams, but not with the Giallorossi. For the moment the lad isn't for sale."

Darmian has made just seven starts and three substitute outings in all competitions this campaign.
