Adnan Januzaj has reportedly requested to leave Manchester United on a permanent transfer following a meeting with new manager Jose Mourinho.
The 21-year-old had been tipped for a long career at Old Trafford following his impressive debut in the 2013-14 season but fell out of favour during the tenure of Louis van Gaal.
Since Mourinho's arrival earlier this summer, Januzaj's future at the club has been called into question and earlier today he was left out of the 23-man squad to face Galatasaray in a pre-season friendly.
According to the Daily Mail, Januzaj was one of a number of players to have meetings with Mourinho on Thursday, when he was informed that he was free to go out on loan and pursue regular first-team football.
The Belgium international responded by saying that he would instead prefer a permanent move as he looks to start his career afresh.
Among those credited with an interest in Januzaj, who is currently rated at £6m, are AC Milan, Everton, Sunderland Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain.
