Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Ham United

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League meeting with West Ham United.

Manchester United switch focus back to the Premier League on Saturday as they take on West Ham United at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils suffered a 1-0 loss to Barcelona in midweek to leave their Champions League hopes hanging by a thread.

A fourth defeat in five games means that United are in desperate need of a victory to kickstart their campaign, especially having slipped down to sixth place in the top flight with last weekend's results.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team ahead of welcoming the Hammers.

Nemanja Matic

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Muscle strain
Possible return date: April 13 (vs. West Ham)

Matic was an unused substitute against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week, but he sat out a couple of training sessions in the build-up to the Barcelona match and was not part of the squad. The Serbian could make his comeback this weekend.

Ander Herrera

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: April 13 (vs. West Ham)

Solskjaer's midfield options are pretty thin as Herrera has also not featured since the end of March. The Spaniard, who is expected to depart Old Trafford in the summer, is unlikely to be used again until the second leg against Barca at the earliest.

Eric Bailly

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Concussion
Possible return date: April 13 (vs. West Ham)

Bailly suffered concussion while on international duty with the Ivory Coast last month and has not featured since returning to Manchester.

Antonio Valencia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle injury
Possible return date: Unknown

Valencia is another player who appears certain to be in the final weeks of his United career. An injury-plagued final campaign at Old Trafford is unlikely to end on a high, as he is still nursing a muscular problem and is no closer to a return.

Alexis Sanchez

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 13 (vs. West Ham)

Having not featured since suffering a knee injury against Southampton in early March, Solskjaer has confirmed that the Chilean is in line to return before the end of the season. Sanchez is back in training and is in contention to be part of the squad against West Ham.

Matteo Darmian

Status: Doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: Unknown

Darmian has not played since the middle of January, and there has been no suggestion that the Italian will feature in the squad this weekend.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Shaw picked up another yellow card against Wolves last week and will therefore sit out his side's next two league matches.
