Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Sunday's Premier League showdown with Manchester United.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be boosted by the return of Takehiro Tomiyasu from suspension for Sunday's Premier League battle with Manchester United at the Emirates.

The Japanese full-back missed last weekend's 2-2 stalemate with Fulham owing to his controversial sending off against Crystal Palace, as Arsenal dropped points for the first time this season.

However, neither Jurrien Timber nor Mohamed Elneny will be at Arteta's disposal as they work their way back from knee injuries, while Eddie Nketiah apparently took a knock in the same area against Fulham.

The 24-year-old - who was included in a senior England squad for the first time this week - should be passed fit for Sunday as he aims to replicate his brace against Man United in January, but Arteta also has Gabriel Jesus fit and firing again following his operation.

Should caution be taken over Nketiah's fitness, Jesus could be given the nod in between Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, while Folarin Balogun's £34m switch to Monaco was completed earlier this week.

Leandro Trossard will surely drop out after an ineffective first half against Fulham, while Arsenal have also been dealt a significant blow over Thomas Partey, who is expected to spend a couple of weeks out with a groin problem.

As a result, Ben White should revert to his former right-back role, as Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz form an untouched midfield trio.

Oleksandr Zinchenko should also be deemed ready for a return at left-back, allowing Gabriel Magalhaes to finally come back in alongside William Saliba, while Aaron Ramsdale will not be expected to cede the gloves to David Raya just yet.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli
