Louis van Gaal: 'We can catch Chelsea'

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal believes that his side are still capable of catching Chelsea at the top of the Premier League this season.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal believes that his side can catch Chelsea at the top of the Premier League, despite trailing the Blues by 10 points after eight matches this season.

The Red Devils dropped two points in their clash with West Bromwich Albion, although Danny Blind's late strike did rescue them from a potential third defeat of the campaign at The Hawthorns.

When asked if his side could catch Chelsea, Van Gaal told reporters: "That is possible. It is difficult to say, because I am then arrogant, but I have done it a lot of times, like at Barcelona.

"Chelsea is another level and then Manchester City also. But we have to see if we can beat them."

United face off against Jose Mourinho's side on Sunday at Old Trafford.
