Louis van Gaal: 'Angel Di Maria's turn is coming'

Man United manager Louis van Gaal confirms that Angel Di Maria will be given another chance in the starting lineup soon after his assist in the win over Aston Villa.

Louis van Gaal has confirmed that Angel Di Maria will be given another chance in Manchester United's starting lineup soon after registering his 10th assist of the season.

The club's record signing came off the bench for the final 11 minutes against Aston Villa yesterday, setting up the final goal in the 3-1 win.

The Red Devils manager told the club's website: "I have said that already, expensive is not the issue. Do I have to make a lineup with the most expensive players? I don't think so.

"That is not an argument, in my opinion, but an argument is that he gave his 10th assist and he did not play all the games like [Ander] Herrera, so it is fantastic.

"Di Maria, his turn is coming but I have to wait for the right moment."

David Beckham hold the record for most assists for United in a single season with 15.
