Manchester United back-up goalkeeper Victor Valdes has said that he has no hard feelings towards current number one David de Gea because he thinks that his teammate is the best goalkeeper in the world.
Valdes signed for Manchester United in January, after recovering from a long-term knee injury, but is yet to make his debut for the Red Devils due to the form of De Gea.
"You are always waiting for your opportunity to play and train every day to show your performance to the manager," the former Barcelona goalkeeper told the club's official website.
"But now David is at a very, very high performance level. I think he is the most important goalkeeper in the world at the moment. So it is difficult to play and, of course, I must accept this.
"For me, the top [keeper] now is David. I see him every day in training. I watch him in every game, every week, and his performances right now are amazing."
Valdes made 387 appearances for Barcelona before leaving the club last summer. He has also appeared 20 times for the Spanish national team.
