Jose Mourinho is reportedly being backed with £250m to sign the players he wants for next Premier League season.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to spend £250m to bolster their squad ahead of the 2018-19 Premier League campaign.

United finished second in the Premier League table last season and failed to pick up a trophy, despite playing an FA Cup final against fifth-placed Chelsea earlier this month.

According to The Mirror, United want to sign Gareth Bale as part of their spending spree, the Welshman havinghinted at an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu after the Champions League final on Saturday.

The report adds that chief executive Ed Woodward may also sign Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred and Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Toby Alderweireld to provide Mourinho with more options in the squad.

Meanwhile, Marouane Fellaini could be on his way out of Manchester as the Belgian international has been linked with a move to Marseille after rejecting a new contract at Old Trafford.
