Manchester United complete signing of Italian full-back Matteo Darmian

Manchester United complete the signing of Italian full-back Matteo Darmian from Torino for £12.9m.

Manchester United have completed the signing of Matteo Darmian from Torino.

Manager Louis van Gaal confirmed that the right-back was due to undergo a United medical yesterday ahead of a £12.9m move, and he has now put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

The Italian is now expected to fly to the United States and take part in United's pre-season tour.

Darmian's ex-club, AC Milan, will receive approximately £287,000 as part of the deal, as they are entitled to around 5% of the fee.

He becomes the second signing of the window for the former Premier League champions, who have already bought winger Memphis Depay.
