Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel has accused Adnan Januzaj of 'failing to embrace' the German club earlier this season.
The Manchester United attacker joined Dortmund on loan in the summer transfer window and had been expected to remain with the Bundesliga side until the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
The loan deal was cut short in January, however, after the Belgian struggled to break into the first-team picture.
Tuchel has claimed that 'a part of Januzaj was always still in Manchester', which made it difficult for him to select the 20-year-old on a regular basis.
"A part of him was always still in Manchester and we just couldn't help him cut this umbilical cord. He didn't wholly embrace Borussia. He always compared everything with how it had been at United," Tuchel told reporters.
Januzaj has been with Man United since 2011, making 60 appearances for the English club.
