Roy Keane brands Paul Pogba "a nuisance" in the aftermath of Manchester United's 2-0 defeat at Liverpool.

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane branded Paul Pogba "a nuisance" in the aftermath of the club's 2-0 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah saw the home side pick up all three points in the Premier League clash, leaving United fifth in the table, five points off fourth-placed Chelsea.

After the match, Keane discussed the state of the club under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the pundit insisted that the Norwegian needed to get rid of the 'nuisances' at Old Trafford, mentioning Pogba in the process.

"They've got Pogba in the background who's been a nuisance you've got to get rid of these people in your club and that doesn't happen overnight," Keane told Sky Sports News.

Pogba has only made eight appearances for the Red Devils this season due to an ankle injury and is not expected to return to action until February having recently undergone an operation.

The 26-year-old continues to be linked with a move away from the club, though, and Juventus are thought to be confident of signing the France international in this summer's transfer window.

The 2018 World Cup winner, who is also believed to be on the wishlist of Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, will see his contract at Old Trafford expire next summer, although the club have the option of a one-year extension.
