Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that striker Wayne Rooney could be forced to miss out on this weekend's match against Norwich City due to an ankle injury.
The 26-year-old picked up the problem during United's 3-2 win over Aston Villa last weekend and was forced to bow out of England's 4-2 defeat to Sweden in Wednesday's friendly.
Ferguson has also claimed that defender Jonny Evans could be on the sidelines, while frontman Robin van Persie should be fit after overcoming a thigh strain.
Meanwhile, the Scotsman has confirmed that Javier Hernandez will start against the Canaries following his hat-trick against Villa.
