Manchester United may have defenders Rafael and Phil Jones back from injuries to take on Wigan Athletic on Tuesday.

Both Rafael and Phil Jones could return to the Manchester United starting lineup for Tuesday's clash with Wigan Athletic.

The defensive duo both missed the Boxing Day win over Newcastle United with hamstring problems.

However, manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes that the pair both have a good chance of being included for the trip to the DW Stadium.

"Phil could be ready and Rafa will be ready," Ferguson told MUTV.

The manager went on to confirm that Robin van Persie, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are likely to return to the team, having been rested over the festive period.
