Paul Pogba: 'The time is right to return to Manchester United'

Midfielder Paul Pogba says that the "time is right" to leave Juventus in order to return to Manchester United in a world-record deal.

Midfielder Paul Pogba has said that Manchester United is the "right club" at which he can achieve everything that he wants to during his career.

During the early hours of Tuesday morning, United announced that Pogba had returned to Old Trafford for what is reported to be a world-record transfer fee, and the French international has said that the "time is right" for him to return to the club after previously leaving for Juventus in 2012.

The 23-year-old told the club's official website: "I am delighted to rejoin United. It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with Jose Mourinho.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Juventus and have some fantastic memories of a great club with players that I count as friends. But I feel the time is right to go back to Old Trafford.

"I always enjoyed playing in front of the fans and can't wait to make my contribution to the team. This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game."

Pogba has signed a five-year contract with United.
