Morgan Schneiderlin pays tribute to Southampton supporters

Outgoing Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin says that he 'can never thank fans enough' for their support during his seven years on the South Coast.

Morgan Schneiderlin has thanked Southampton's "incredible" supporters for standing by him over the past seven seasons.

The Frenchman completed a switch to Manchester United on a four-year deal earlier today, bringing to an end months of speculation over his future.

Schneiderlin played a big part in the club's promotion to the Premier League upon joining in 2008, while also proving to be a vital figure in the engine room in the subsequent years.

However, having now brought an end to his St Mary's career, the 25-year-old took to Twitter to pay tribute to Southampton fans.

United also confirmed the capture of Bastian Schweinsteiger earlier today on a three-year contract.
