Roberto Mancini backs David Moyes

Roberto Mancini believes that David Moyes will eventually come good at Manchester United.

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes that Manchester United need to "refresh the team".

The Red Devils have struggled under David Moyes this season and were knocked out of the League Cup at the semi-final stage by Sunderland on Wednesday.

"After many years, it's the time to refresh the team," the Italian told BBC Sport. "Chelsea changed and bought some new players, City bought four or five new players."

"He worked for 10 years at Everton and he did a really good job," he added on Moyes. "He is a good manager and I don't think he needs my advice."

United are currently seventh in the Premier League with 37 points from 22 matches.
