Manchester United's staff and players have reportedly been left 'very shaken up' by the situation surrounding Mason Greenwood.
The 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of rape, sexual assault, threats to kill and assault of his girlfriend following posts, including images and a voice note, on social media.
Greenwood has been suspended by the Red Devils while investigations take place, but the forward was released on bail on Wednesday morning after spending three nights in custody.
Man United are currently preparing for Friday's FA Cup fourth-round contest with Championship outfit Middlesbrough, but according to the Daily Mail, the club are struggling to deal with the high-profile situation.
"Everyone is very shaken up. This is very different to the normal things they have to deal with," the newspaper quotes a source as saying.
Meanwhile, it is alleged that staff and players were 'shocked and appalled' by the audio and images that were leaked on social media, and it has been a 'traumatic few days' for the club.
Greenwood has been a key player for Ralf Rangnick's side during the 2021-22 campaign, making 24 appearances in all competitions, contributing six goals and two assists in the process.
