Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui has dismissed rumours linking him with the vacant managerial job at Manchester United.
Following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday, speculation has been intense around who will take over at Old Trafford, and agent Jorge Mendes was quick to link the former Spain manager with the vacancy.
However, Lopetegui has denied any links, telling reporters: "Just ask me about the chances of winning at Wolfsburg. The rest, with all due respect, seems absurd to me," as quoted by The Mirror.
The Spaniard was among names such as Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag and Zinedine Zidane, but he and the latter are both said to have distanced themselves from the speculation.
Under the 55-year-old's management, Sevilla currently sit third in the Spanish top flight, while Manchester United's 4-1 defeat to Watford on Saturday left them in eighth spot in the Premier League.
